Amoxicillin

Amoxicillin is a drug against various types of microorganisms, both gram-positive and gram-negative. Its action is far from universal, since there are microorganisms that are resistant to the action of amoxicillin. In particular, these are bacteria capable of producing beta-lactamase, which neutralizes the antibiotic. Therefore, often amoxicillin is produced in combination with clavulanic acid, which protects it from the action of beta-lactamase.
